“Aren’t you going into the bush soon?”
“Yes, our team is there now.”
“Who is leading them?”
“They are, doing it by themselves.”
“ALONE!?! Really? Wow (Long pause, while looking at us with the most curious facial expressions), that’s awesome and it will be interesting to see how much they have learned.”
That is the conversation that was buzzing around the office for the latter part of May. We spent four months pouring everything we have learned into our mission’s students, and then they were put to the test. We gave them the best training that we are capable of and then waited with great anticipation for the results of their day to come in.
They pushed themselves hard, challenged their physical bodies to the limits, and believed God for bigger breakthrough and a new level of boldness. Every night the soul count came back to us greater then the day before. They witnessed in several schools and were able to lead hundreds of little children to the Lord. One of the schools they were able to preach in, we had tried to get into the previous year. Unfortunately, were not provided with the proper permission needed for access to reach it effectively.
Our students came back to East London knowing God had used them. They knew that they had given their all and had seen the Glory of God manifested through them. Many of them were tired. Their feet were in unbelievable pain, but still they were excited to testify about what God had done. Our students, with less then seven-ministry days, had the privilege of leading one thousand three hundred eighty three people to the Lord. We could not be more proud of them.
Having graduated on June second the students have all returned home. Tentatively eight of them will come back on staff with Every Tribe Missions and work in the many departments.
Due to the growth taking place in Every Tribe Missions we have been able to open three more departments. Although they are in the early stages, we are looking forward to seeing these departments grow through the rest of the year. Every Tribe Missions consists of five departments in total:
Until now, we have only been operating in the first and second department. This year we have been able to open the Media and the Leadership Development departments. Already we have leaders from local communities calling asking for us to come train their church and community leaders.
The third department, Siyanceda Africa (meaning, we help Africa) was the humanitarian aid organization already established here in East London. Siyanceda has been handed over to become apart of the vision for Every Tribe. Siyanceda will consist of three departments within itself:
Siyanceda is currently running four projects a year. The first one is Bible distribution. We purchase bibles and take them into the rural communities.. The second is blanket distribution. Winter here is very cold and many of the poorer people can not get a blanket or clothing for the winter. Many children do not have clothes or bedding fit for the winter. The third project is the giving of food parcels. Each food parcel is able to feed a family of four for a month. Food parcels are created and distributed to the needy via the church here in East London or a church in their community. The fourth project is stoves. We supply an echo friendly stove that requires less wood, cooks food faster, doesn’t produce as many chemicals in the smoke, and can be used as a heater inside once finished cooking. All of these projects are organized with leaders from the communities we go into. Making sure that the people who need them most are the ones who receive them.
Please continue to keep us in your prayers, as you can see God is really moving here in South Africa and we are starting to branch out to the surrounding countries. We need your prayers and support daily, we need wisdom to continue in the right direction and to make the right decisions. Know that all things that are accomplished here and all the goals and victories achieved are due to your faithfulness to the call of God and what He has asked you to do. Know that all of this would not be possible with out you behind us. Your prayers and support is part of the force that drives us. We appreciate each and everyone of you and all that you do for us.
We love you,
Sean and Chloe Seise
