Feb 1, 2012 Note from Sean and Chloe Seise PDF Print E-mail

Dear Family and Friends,

WE HAVE ARRIVED!!!!! As you well know, we are safe and sound in South Africa settling in. Our cottage is nice and quite. Located on the side of a river opening up into the ocean in between mountains. The beach is within walking distance, and there is a game reserve on the property just next to us. Every day we see Zebras and Impalas, if we leave early enough in the morning we get to see little Vervet monkeys as well (I love monkeys). We do not have Air Con in our house, but we do have in door plumbing which is a blessing! If any of you have used a squatty potty you know how amazing in door plumbing is.

Our office is located in East London in one of the biggest buildings in the city. Praise the Lord we do have Air Con in the office. We are currently planning and learning about the areas surrounding East London. We are working on getting our website up, as well as a promo video we can send to everyone. We do now have a EVERY TRIBE MISSIONS Facebook. If you have not already checked it out please do and hit the like button so you can follow us on there. We also have a blog, if you have not heard of it, Seanchloeseise.wordpress.com/ Please, go and log in and follow us on our blog. We will try to keep both pages updated as much as possible. Keep in mind the first few months we are here we will be working more on the administration side of things, preparing for the actual missions trips.

We are in the process of developing contacts in the townships and learning who the chiefs are so we can go safely to these locations and minister. Our aim is to take the youth on our first commission trip June 25th-30th. Please be in prayer with us that everything comes together and we have favor in the communities and the youth are able to get the finances so they are able to go. One of the biggest hurdles we will have to jump over is the people here raising money to be able to go on the commissions trips. You must understand that for them to raise thirty US dollars here is a big deal much less anything more! Also, to get them to save the money and not spend it is also a big deal. Africans as a whole especially the black Africans don't think in the future and don't plan for it. They think, NOW, TODAY. SO, be believing with us for break through in those areas.

We  went with the youth last weekend to a beach picnic day, and got to know the youth a bit better. Sean was able to play soccer with them and got close to a couple of the guys. Also, one of the guys here, (his name is Bande pronounced "Bond-ay), he is helping show us the ropes and learn the culture. Sean and Bande where playing soccer and got playing a bit rough and Bande cut his foot open on a broken brick and had to get two stitches in his foot that night. Welcome to Africa! He now is holding it over Sean's head, saying its his fault (jokingly of course).

We are really enjoying ourselves here developing some good relationships and enjoying the new culture. Some of you have heard that we went on an outreach with the youth last week to the schools in a near by township. Well, the school teachers were on strike demanding more money. Needless to say, we were not able to go into the school itself due to the fact it was not in session. So, we then decided to open the van doors on both sides and ride up and down the roads telling at the kids to meet in the town hall. We did that for about 20 minutes. During this time we ran into a group of about 45 people standing waiting for jobs. We decided to get out of the car and pray with all of them. Alex Burgos (who is an American but the youth pastor here) spoke with all of them together and 39 of them accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. Then the rest of us prayed for them to be filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and for healing. Five of them, that I could tell, got baptized in the Holy Spirit. Another was healed of pain in her whole body, another's ears were opened, another was able to move his arm after not being able to due to a stroke. There were several others as well that were healed, but people started coming forth asking for prayer to be set free from alcohol and from bad dreams and other addictions. We had revival on the side of the road in the middle of Africa!!

Now, we finally get back to the students who are waiting for us in the town hall. They sang a few songs, then Alex preached the word. There was roughly 250 to 300 students there. When he gave the alter call for the salvation prayer, 150 students came forward and got saved. Then we gave another alter call for other various things, and roughly 50 students came forward. They were baptized in the Holy Spirit, healed, and set free. They were asking for prayers for forgiveness, exams, health, finances, family issues and other things. It was an awesome time in the presence of God. We just learned Sunday from our contact therein that township, Mama Judy, that they are still talking about it. The students have told the other students that were not able to be there, and their parents what happened. They are wanting us to come back every Wednesday. Sean and I personally are not able to go every Wednesday, but we are believing God for a team to come that we can trust and send in our place to keep it going and to teach the students in the things of God. So please hook your faith up with ours that the missionaries we are trusting to come over have favor. That there debts are canceled, and that the finances come in and they can get here soon. We will keep you updated on the status of the schools and of our missionaries.

Thank you so much for your prayers and your support. Trust me the transition has been smooth due to your consistent prayer and believing with us for great things. You must understand our hearts, we KNOW as a couple that missions is not possible if you don't have the backing of the people back home, spiritually and financially. Not everyone is called to the mission field its self but everyone is called to do there part. You all are just as important as the preacher and the teacher and the prophet and the missionary. With out the peoples help there is no ministry. We are very grateful for each and every one of you and are praying for God to bless you so abundantly. Please stay in touch with us via Facebook or email. We love you, we appreciate you, and we are grateful you are in our lives.

Be blessed,

Chloe
